An amazing shot. Thanks for showing me a bird I have never seen and may never see in real life. The motion blur--or is it the effect of shallow DOF--in the wingtips is just perfect.

Your 500mm lens is very effective in this shot, James. I wish I have one as I found out that my 200mm Nikkor is ineffective for this kind of photography. I have checked out your portfolio and I love your bird photos.

A marvellous composition and a high-quality shot! That texture of the wood planks is magnificent. The bird looks frozen, but I think it is just napping(?)
