Hello Herman,
This is very good. The blue night color is exelent. The crosswalk white bands oposing the platform work extremely well. Shadow and reflections and the red streak of the time exposure bring it all together in this terrific abstract. Very well done indeed.

I love the Amsterdam bikes. It is so funny, here (Las Vegas) if you ride a bike you are almost assured to be run over by a car, and when my daughter and I visited Amsterdam, she was nearly run over by a bycicle. As well, if you were to leave your bike tied to a rail, when you came out you would be lucky to have a seat and or tires, no respect. Your portfolio is wonderful. Thank you for visiting my page. Regards, Carla

Hi Hugo,
I looked at the original image, there is no noise in it at all... I think it just the fact that the very fine detail of the reed can not be rendered very well on a computer screen, the resolution is just too low.

Hi Hermen, I like the combination of the two shots; the colourful one being completely different but bearing the same atmosphere. Choosing the top one as "peripheral" (and a great shot; quite a luxury...) thus focussing the attention on the peeling paint is a very good and strong touch. Very nice work.
With a tad more contrast, the top one would do great as a stand alone, too. Really like what you done here. Not the most obvious choice, but IMO definately the right one.
Cheers,
Hugo

Hi Hermen, Black and white fits nicely with this image, but it's a bit grainy... Can't see how that's possible at a 64 ASA setting, but could it be some overmanipulation? Well composed image, though.
Cheers,
Hugo

What I meant by the trio was that the thumbnails of our various images were up on the Photo Critique page side-by-side. All three were very different in subject but looked so nice side-by-side. Here is mine: http://www.usefilm.com/image/650695.html and here is Roberto's:http://www.usefilm.com/image/650697.html

I think it is extraordinary. I just put it in favorites. I love the outlines created by the toning. There is such a rustic feel to this. And this might sound strange, but it's up 3 in a row with Roberto Carli's and mine and I love the trio together, although I have to say that yours and his might be stealing my thunder a tad...lol. T.
