Very beautiful portrait, I like the warm lighting, the tones, and the triangle formed by the angles of her arms to her head, very lovely model, I'm sure she must be delighted with this portrait...I wonder if the leaves could be softened just a bit, though they are lovely just as they are, the colors are very complimentary to her face and hair, I just wonder if the softer leaves would bring more attention to her face. Actually in looking at it again, the light really brings my eye back to her face, but those beautiful leaves call me away, but honestly I don't do people that often so what do I know? :) Lin

Phil, this is really beatuiful! Such a soft, warm feel with a beautiful model! Almost like a painting. Is that smoke or fog I see, or is it part of the background?

Hi, Phil, please let me know whenever you come to Jakarta. It must be a precious moment to be able going with a great photographer like you. I need to learn a lot. Currently I am attending a photojournalism course held by a local institute funded by Worldpress Photo Foundation. I was awarded a scholarship. This saturday a Netherland photographer, Jan Banning, will come, and we are requested to ask him questions regarding his experience. Do you have any suggestions for me? Thanks my friend :)

Wow, just had a look at your portfolio - how good are you! Truly inspirational...your work is so clean, clear and airy with the ability to still convey meaning and emotion. When I grow up I want to be just like you!!!

LOL It must have been hilarious, Phil! It's still a top notch image!

I look forward to seeing the results of Sunday's shoot! What a hard life you have - taking photos of these beautiful women! Oh, well, someone has to do it! :)))

Cheers

Thanks for the compliments Phil, they are much appreciated. Those lines you see are actually smoke. The smoke machine went a little nutz and dumped out quite a bit before I could shut it down. Filled up the entire studio and was about a half hour before we could breath.

Have another shoot with a beautiful red head on Sunday, will see how it goes.

I like the color balancing and the composition. Little bit more light just to show the curves on the front side would make it better. He shoulder is not in a relaxing mode as i feel, which you could have made much better. A great shot and you could have done it better. Great work.

A lovely portrait image, Phil! Wonderful lighting and colours!

Mate, just one thing....what are the two lines that run across the right-hand side breast and on into her right arm?

Cheers

Thanks Eric. Good to see you are still around. Hope all is well. Got the D200 a few months ago and love it. Great camera, just waiting for the wireless unit to come and I will be set.

Have been shooting a lot lately. Kelli keeps getting models from modelmayhem and we are having a blast. Check this one out.

Speak to you soon,

Phil

Phil!

Glad to see you shooting again. The lighting here is awesome. She looks like she is really singing her heart out too, which is great.

When'd you get the D200? :-)

Wonderful intimate and snug portrait, with natural light that creates a 3D effect on the face of the woman. Best in b-w, good details and atmosphere.

Alessandro, yes it is a Yamaha guitar, very good eye you have. She is actually a singer not a guitar player as you can probably tell by the way she is holding it. I think some day she will be very famous. During the shoot we had a CD playing and she was singing to the music, she sounded better then the person on the CD even though she had no microphone or sound processing. She has a real passion for music so I am sure she will make it. Thank you for the compliments.
