Very street, and very much a toy camera piece. I like this a lot.

I like the architecture, how it opens up to the outside instead of enclosing something else. I like how you introduced the shadows into the photo, and the people so that you get a sense of scale and life.

Fascinating, and you were there. Didn't they use the Mitchell in that one movie with Richard Dreyfuss?

I like to see restorations in progress. I'm sure they'll have to machine a lot of parts nowadays, if they can find the worn or damaged part to get an idea. Or the blueprints if any.

Oh, I once had the tape. I'll have to get a cd and the movie on dvd.

I get a Santa Monica impression from this one. Even a Venice

Instant favorite! I've been up and down this road more than once. It's a great road for driving and motorcycling. Next time I go back out there, I'm taking my toy cameras.

I like the reticulations (from the film) right above it. It lets the viewer know that it's film.

Decaying sci-fi's one of my favorite themes. This is awesome.

Super composition, as I get a feeling of it actually going up and I'm getting vertigo. The illusion is what it's all about. Excellent shot.

Spinal Tap..that's a classic rockumentary. It gets funnier every time I watch it, 'cause there's a lot of innuendos and sight gags going on all at once. I like the songs, too! But I can't mention the titles (like, "the bigger the cushion, the better the _____")

Yeah, this has got some energy to it. Nice and tight composition, great motion blurring going on, and the lighting is fabulous.

You photograph the land with such intimacy, even your flowers. The viewer doesn't just see a photo, he's captured into it.

Man, what a town. Compared to down south, there are more people who get along in peace in SF than in any other place in CA, IMHO. Can't seem to get tired of seeing the old bridge.

First impression was "what a fun shot" When it's that, a lot of it is successful in a photograph.

I used to do light studies at music festivals and the like. This definitely looks rave-ish and rock music on a more alternative take.

Gosh, that look is so unmistakeable. And someone like me who loves the water, I know the feeling. It's interesting how we can pick up little visual cues, especially from one eye, a bit of the cheek, a wrinkle in the corners of the eyes, and tell if they're smiling or frowning.

Reminds me of an exhibit, where the artist made Polaroids of small pieces of things at a certain place. His concept was to see the big picture of a place by looking at the smallest things, like seeds, rocks and things. This works the same way.

That hand makes the shot for me. Candles and hands plays into a lot of associations with spooky things of that nature. Interesting room too, with the bookcase especially.

Very unconventional, and I like that. The photographs that I find the most compelling are the ones that don't follow everyone else's way of seeing things. I mean, there are compositional rules, and that's good, but I like to see new ways of making a photograph, a new look I guess I want to say.

Festive mood, lots of energy. There is that "thing" about being young and that sort of belief going around lately, but to me it isn't being communicated here, and all the better. All I'm seeing are the lights. I grew up marveling at city lights, in every city including old downtown Long Beach, CA (which no longer exists), to Chicago, to NY, Seattle and Vancouver. I was lucky in that I was able to go places. Gee, what am trying to get at? I guess I'm just reacting to this piece on my level.
