Jennifer this is such a pretty rose, the colours and tones in it are lovely. The detail and the composition is great too. I hope you don't mins I have done a bit of work on the background to try and enhance the beauty even more [I took out the blemish too  ] Do hope you like

Greg- I know what you mean about the shadows...I was so annoyed, but I was even more annoyed at how long it took me following this guy around for him to stop and give me a profile! I would have liked to show the brillance of his colors better...but what are you going to do?! Thanks for your comments!

Very nice capture. I can honestly say I've never seen a bird that looks anything like this. We have some weird looking ducks here in Florida but as far as I know nothing like these. Thanks for sharing. Dwight

I followed a white one of these all over a park one day to get him where I wanted him. then named him a bride in white- boy did I ever hear about that.

Nice shot Jennifer, its a shame the shadows have found such a bugger of a place to be, but sometimes its a get it now or not at all situation, where there is no luxury of finding the right angles and light etc.. still a wonderful shot Jennifer and what the hell would i know anyway..
