Congrats on this beautiful pano image Jim! The results of your 3:30am workshop were well worth the inconvenience of getting up that early. BTW, It always surprises me how some people go to the trouble of posting a Panoramic proportioned image without taking full advantage of the extra file size. I'm glad to see you took full advantage. An absolutely remarkable capture Jim. Brilliantly done, I love the warm colors here. It is definably worth the lack of consistent sleep to be at the right place at the right time...7/7! ~Dan

Hi Jim. I've seen this place myself (no photos of St Basil's unfortunately) and this is a very good image (Moscow is full of wonderful architecture, although the history behind some of it is rather grim). This image is very sharp and has excellent colours. Well done.

What an image, Jim! Especially looking it in a big size is much like suddenly having a hyper-dynamics and super-resolution monitor! The details bind so well with the fantastic light balance, and the depth really feels like converting the flat monitor to a 3D-hologram. It conveys exactly that kind of atmosphere under which one thinks that it would take only some minues to swim to the buildings! It more than deserved the award!
Perhaps only a small deviation from perfect focus on the very very foreground, and thus my question about hyperfocal here. Would that bring someting?
Anyway, dascinating photography!
Cheers!
Nick
