Hi Luke, it's been quite a while since I had time to be here.
We seem to be in the same red mood today! :-)
I think to make this perfect (for me that is!) is to
make the horizontal lines straight with the border of the frame (I hope it is clear what I mean?)
I'll try to show what I mean and download the pic.
I'll be back! :-)

Good composition and tones, Adolfo! And I love the background.
Did you take this inside? or with natural light outside?

John! that was Indonesian!!! ;-)

but I know what you mean though...it has an Oriental feel.

I was indeed very glad to finally have a little time last weekend to shoot these orchids.
:-)
talk to you soon (and plan a date!)

Petal, dank je voor je altijd enthousiaste comments!!! :-)))
Frame and hang....dat ga ik zeker doen! Heb een expositie in een New Age centrum en daar past deze wel mooi bij, denk ik.
groetjes,
Marion

Hi Angelo! Thank you for your comment.
If you look at my portfolio you will see that I like to work with short DOF. It's what I like. :-)
It gives more depth to an image. But I also realize that not everybody will like it this way.

Hi Hugo!
;-)
groet,
Marion

Hi Gilberto, maybe they call this a Ciclamem (or Cyclamen) in Brazil, but to me it looks more like a Begonia. :-)

Nice combination of colors. I think I would prefer to crop it on the left.

Crop is perfect, but I don't expect anything else from you. And very well seen ofcourse.
Thnx for your mail, was good to hear from you again. :-) I'm gonna reply uitvoerig asap!

a flying giant hedgehog????????
I started to doubt if maybe a hedgehog was something else as I thought it was, so got my dictionary, but no.... Here in the Netherlands they don't fly, neither are they giant. But then: in the States everything is bigger ofcourse! ;-)))

Sharpness is exactly where it should be and you captured her expression (sulking?) perfectly!

Love your title! I can see you are really a very busy man....I don't envy you....having to work so hard! ;-)
Enjoy.
I like the selective desaturation in this image and the feel of it. RELAX is what it screams.
Well done, Sebastian. :-)

I really love this series, Hugo!! (and we have one more to go, I think?) Very inspiring...must have been fun making the best composition. Looks like the guy in the top left and top right image is hiding behind the red pole!
I wonder, did you get comments from people? The Nikon is not really a small camera to make sneaky pictures with. ;-)

Thanks for your honest comment, Hugo! It was difficult to get the same light background (the chapel was rich in decorations) and at the same time emphesize the hands which intrigued me most.
Not to mention the low light and having no tripod!!! :-)

Thank you, Sofia! :-)
Yes, my attention was caught by the hands and faces of these statues, very dramatic I think.
