Thank you Elisa. The originals have degraded quite a bit - this being one of the reasons I devoted many hours in scanning them. At first, I attempted to correct the colours one by one, but then I found that the automatic function of colour restitution in the scanning software was doing an incredible job and saving a huge amount of time. Only here and there was it required that I retouched the result.

Good day Elisa. I was given for my birthday a book of old photographs from Montreal - sort of history through images. At the beginning of the XXth century, you can see that there were rows of men shovelling snow, and some horses too with a large plow. This I didn't know - only the very noisy machinery. But I remember from my stay in Peru the conforting sound of the street sweepers early in the morning.
Suomi, Svensk, English, and even a little Old Nork from your part I guess ? Learning languages is mind opening, isn't it ?

Hi Christian! Last night I was thinking of what I saw here ... how I miss the silent workers, when they have been replaced by loud machines. History is full of peculiar times; this is certainly a pearl.
(Wish I had just a fraction of your impressive language skills; Spanish, French, English etc.!)

Hi Christian! Can´t believe this (and the other ones) are so old ... very well preserved! Luckily children find ways to play even in surroundings like these. Great photojournalism!

Bonjour Fabrice !

Felicitations Christian

Belle prise journalistique Christian. Bien vu bien pris.. simplement Bravo!!

I wished, I could see this here, Christian. Perfect capture of this wonder of nature (at least it seems to me this year). Today we had 17 degrees, spring flowers are blooming, and no snow or cold weather in sight!
