Ha John, tijd en zin zijn twee dingen...:) Ik was overigens even kort bij jou in de buurt, vandaag voor de opnames van Het Beste Idee van Nederland (Asterweg)

Spectacular image. The Northern light is such an impressive phenomenon! Extremely well captured with the wooden carcass in front. Great shot!

What an amazing place, isn't it? Two days seems a bit short to see everything, but you've got the Skogarfoss in sunlight, and that's more than I can say...:)

Very nice image.

Cheers,

Your usual richness in colour and saturation does it for me each time. Good one.

Very nice, Manu. The low POV and shallow DOF add to the humid, uncultivated "forest feel". Like it alot.

Excellent timing, and a well excecuted concept, AJ. I've been toying with idea of trying some High Speed Syncs for a while now, but just can't get around to it. Very well done.

Hi Tony,

Nice to hear from you. Being back is somewhat of an inflation, considering this is my first upload in quite a few months.

Still, I haven't forgotten about UF, either. Just way too busy, and shooting so much, I barely have time to process my non-commercial photos...:)

Trust everything is OK with you?

Cheers,

Hugo

Hey AJ,

I like the leisurely feel in this image, it really sets the mood. The subtle haze and the fine details also add. I like this photo. Very well captured.

Cheers

Hey Tim,

Always a pleasure to come across your landscape, they rate amongst the best. Top notch stuff, as ever!

Very good DOF, and fine details in this photo. Good catch.

Good capture, Martin,

Could crop off a bit of the bottom of the image, making it even a bit more "landscape style", but that's peripheral.

Very cool, Sal!

The composition is great, with the junction in front and the warped perspective of the buildings. One to be very proud of, the high POV is adds to the image!

Cheers

Hi Robert,
Nice tranquil feel, and a good "captured moment". The lensflare could be retouched, but I like it as is.

Hi AmirAli,
Nice and dynamic image. The motion of the tail lights is nicely captured. The image could, perhaps, use a boost in the mid-tones and highlights, and I think a slight increase in saturation would make the image pop a little more. Just my 2 cents.

Cheers,

Hi Phil,

I like the lighting in this photo with the subtle highlights, works very well. Good concept, too. The text in the top right is a bit intrusive in the composition, IMO, and I think applying it more subtle, or leaving it out all together, would make the image stronger, I believe.

Interesting photo, nicely captured.

Cheers,

Hi John,

The people are on the opposite platform; doubt if you could create a reflection in the windows of a passing train, let alone one without me in the picture:)

Heheheh. Hi Petros!

Can only say that for stock, there are too many recognisable people and the image lacks quality....

I do appreciate the way of looking at the negative space on top and bottom - never considered that - yet, I do like the depth created by the beams on top and the tiles in front. But yes, I happily admit the stock element is there.

Cheers,

Hugo

Hi Manu, Very expressive and almost caricatural portrait. The right (his left) eyebrow adds to the story. Nice addition to the series.

Hi John

Hurricane Ridge... Awesome scenery, A pity I had to miss it after stopping at Lake Cresent, leaving from Neah Bay to Port Angeles.... I like the depth in this photo. A fine photo!

Hey Sal,

Just got back from a long time of absence, and browsed to see what you've been upto. This photo definitely stood out, what a fabulous expression, (eventhough that wasn't your timing by the look of the details such as the signalling light and the wheel), and the sheer illusion of the scale makes it a very intriguing photo. Very well captured!

Ha Riny,

Nice to hear from you! I don't have one with a very high shutter speed, because there wasn't enough light, and it would've just frozen the train, and that's not the result I wanted to achieve. The primary subject isn't the metro, it's the group of people, IMO.

Cheers,

Hi Eb,

Yes, very much improved, indeed. The subtle tonal differences in the trees add a lot of depth in the shore line region. Good stuff!

Hi Mike,

Very nice to see what you've been upto. Your panos have always been impressive, and I do like this one, too. Also, the IR HDR is spotless. Looks like you've had your hands full, too, as this is your latest uploads, dating back to July...

I still have to reply to your email, and I will...

Cheers,

Hugo
