Thank you for your comment, Steve, and the good advice. I had thought of posting it without a frame but didn't dare. You helped me break the dependency.
Talking of "knots", this one here is superb in terms of composition, lighting and colors, of course.

You have to keep the light part of this picture as long and pointed at it can takes it. when I saw the thumbnail, I first saw a "blade" of light and needed to go see those eyes wanted to use it to its "deadly" end. Is it not what the idea is all about?

The tops! Not only great technique but also the most brilliant idea!
I am sure a lot of us members were ready - badly needed in fact - to see this deadly hilarious illustration of what we are all craving for alongside the fun of making photographs. It should be emailed by this site's administrators to all its members. Thrust me, this picture is going to reach some people I know who need the relief it brings along with the good laugh! :-)))

Thank you for your comment. It led me to your portfolio and I just couln't believe my eyes. Your are so gifted with portraiture - something I am not good at - that my mouth fell. You really succeed at capturing the very essence of one's personnality and temporary mood, and at freezing in time those many elusive moments that fill our lives.
Moreover, you sure do know what composition, lighting, DOF, and all other technical/artistic aspects of picture-making are all about.
I agree with those who find this one photo a bit too grainy perhaps. Yet, I chose it among all your great jobs for my first comment to you as I could not resist the special warmth and goodness this woman radiates. And I also love the soft warm colors of this picture.

You sure do know your way around colors. Always enough, never too much! Congratulations.

I have always been attracted by ancient architecture, specially castles, cathedrals and such other historic structures. I had not yet found anything that can compare to what you did with those you found in Spain. Astoundingly beautiful work, like the paintings done by the Old Masters. Everything is perfect.

I went to Cuba in 1983. My picture-taking then was not good enough to make me comme back with stuff like that. Don't stop traveling if it makes you bring back to us such beautiful views as this one. Il love the great composition, the colors of course and I am particularly attracted to ceramics the style of which you got here. And the slender green leaves on the lower left side of this picture elegantly counterbalance the heavy bulk of the deep blue... what is this beautiful piece of decoration, by the way?

Wow! It is amazing what you can do in terms of portraiture with the same camera as mine. Unless you used another one for these photos. I don't quite understand what "EOS 3" means. Or maybe it is because you used your 28-135 zoom lens. Please, tell me. I have a 80-200 zoom lens, but I don't really like its performance. The results are not sharp enough for my taste.

This one I also love very much for the uplifting movement of still objects. Great composition. And you sure know something about art! I also like the texture and ancient, gothic or even celtic, style of these crosses.

I specially love this enchanted tight spot for its composition, its texture, its soft light and its connection to our Mother Earth. Congratulations!

Now I understand why you mentioned the softness of my picture. You have one here with a very sharp foreground against a very soft, delicate backgroung. Powerful combination and yet so restful...

This is a technically flawless picture. As for the subject and the way it is addressed, it shows us how much beauty and peace can yield a rainy day, in an often gloomy season. Ask any middle-aged Canadian!

Beautiful photograph with hightly contrasted play of light, clever use of complementary colors and soft sinuous lines everywhere. What I like best is the polished texture of the ice on the river, especially where it gets greenish.
