I dont know what happened to the wing tip. Most of the swallowtails ive seen lately are pretty beat up.Some are pathetic looking, torn to shreds.This one is one of the most intact tigers ive seen. I guess there is always a small flaw in something beautiful.Thanks.

Actually Shirley, you reminded me. This title and "Where the Stone Walls end" i took from a song i wrote many years ago.
There are promises to keep today
Down in the village miles away.
So i take the old road through the wood
where the forest air might do me good.
along the way.
Past blue mountains and the rambling glen,
past oak and cedar where the stone walls end.
Where the thrush flies tree to tree,
and makes heavenly song to accompany me.
along the way.
No sense of time, i leave every care behind. As soon as i start i cherish every part that i play.
along the way.
And when my life comes to an end
No invitations will i send.
Just lay me in this very ground.
And ill be thankful for all the things ive found.

Thank you Andrzej for your comments. Im sure you are right about the cropping. I put this one up quickly with little or no editing. I do regret on this one there about five spots of dust on my sensor.
