Joggie how did you get this guy to pose for the pic? :) This is a seriously good image with perfect composition and DoF...the frog has striking colours but the clincher is the eye contact...superb photo.

This is a seriously beautiful photo Selami, I love the simplicity and stength of the colour and the 3D effect that you have gained.

Great work.

Striking, I love the sihouttes of the trees preparing for another cold night, the foreground looks freezing contrasted against the soft warm colours in the sky. Great comp and exposure to capture the feel of the scene.

Hi Onie,

I love how you have this very powerful image floating on the background, beautiful deep colours and perfect balance with cropping / position of the flower all combine to give the pic plenty of "pop".

Great pic Sandra, I really like the contrast with the black bg and the detail in the stem. With it being hairy.....?? Didn't think it possible to get a discussion happening on pumpkin hairs...then again...... did you consider waxing and if it is a grandma pumpkin; I am happy that you only shot the "head"...

A well seen pic, I could look at one forever and it would never dawn on me to shoot it...I look forward to what you see next :)

Hi Onie,

This is a magic pic, you are so right re the canyons and ledges...without anything to give the image scale my imagination lets me build it into something miles across, one of those images that makes me feel good without quite knowing why...and they are always the best ones :).

Hi Onie,

Thanks for your kind words and wishes, sorry I haven't got back sooner but I left for work interstate as soon as I posted the last pic.

What you have done with this image works really well, the over sharpening brings out more detail in the wood and really snaps the bridge to the viewer's attention. Interesting also how the water in the creek appears outside the grey scale and takes on a "wet" look. Great idea that wouldn't work in colour...I also like the balance of composition which is easy to over look when thinking about what you have done to the pic in PS.

Hope you have a happy and rewarding 2007 and I look forward to seeing lots of what you see :)

The depth has turned out better than I would of thought at f/6.8. The colour of the sky coming through to the shore wash works really well in this.

Lots of energy in this John re the movement of the ocean, the 1 sec speed works a lot better than the slower speeds I was using, great colour in this also.

I always like this angle of composition, the rocks in the foreground are really lifting out of the image to great effect.

Hi Onie, the quiet times are always really important, trying to capture that 'quietness' is always the challenge. Thanks for looking and commenting...much appreciated.

The contrast is sensational, the people add scale and give a sense of the enormity of this landscape.
