Lets start by saying I really like this shot! Its a great perspective that shows her in an interesting way but yet the attention is on her face. Her look and expression is relaxed and she is just a beautiful girl! You captured it well.

The only critique I have is the tones and the framing. The tones are a little flat, There are no real black areas here. At the same time the bright lines are already washed out. Its not bad as her face is exposed very nice which is the most important thing. I guess its partly because of the developer or maybe the scanner wasn't that good. I got similar tones when my developing time was too short. I got better results when I cooled the developer down to get roughly 10 mintues. You should avoid 5 minutes or shorter.

the framing and composition is very nice and creative, I just wish it was a little wider so her feet would be in frame . The thing I love about medium format is you can frame wider without loosing the intens feeling and attention on the main subject.

Sheila, I have decided to leave this site so I won't be around any more. If you want, send me an email and I'll let you know where I'm at.

I love your work! Greaty to see you are back to some of your "good old stuff". And I don't mean to imply that I didn't like your other work!

Yes I take all my photos in RAW format. Since I shoot a lot it does add some extra time to adjust and convert the files, but its quite ok when you use a good raw converter that allows you to do all adjustments really quickly. I use Bibble which is very fast and has a great UI.
Using raw is the best way to get the most out of your camera and it allows you to twaek things later that would be very difficult to do when you use JPG.

she is still a beautie, although after I have seen the beautiful colors of the other shot I kind of miss them here. I love B&W and it looks great, I just think it looks even better in color.
How old is she now? Looks like the same age as my son who is 4
