What a beautiful animal you have captured in this photo. Both the buck and your photo are prize winners in my book. The DOF is perfectly and the angle captures his rack so well. I do hope that hunting season is over with.

Great colors and composition, Ercole. The location, colors, and photo composition make for a very enjoyable composition to look at. This would make a great framed wall photo. Darryl

Great moment Shirley. I really like the great color contrast, shallow DOF, and soft focus. A nice framed copy on the wall would be very relaxing. Darryl

Mike, I really like your red dahlia photo. The crisp focus, color contrast, and presentation make it feel like I can reach out and touch the flower. This needs to be printed and framed for display. Congratulations. Darryl

Great capture Adam. The B&W lend itself to the drama of the moment. The fog also adds to this drama. I would love to go on a tour. The large DOF brings everything together wonderfully. Darryl

I love your photos of old farm equipment. This is a planter that is used to put rows of seeds in the ground. This unit will plant 18 rows of seed in one pass. It could be horse drawn or pulled by a tractor. The wood box is for holding the seed being planted. The number of seeds planted in a row is regulated by adjusting the opening in the seed box to allow more or less seed to fall out. The disks opened the ground for the seed to fall into. Often a harrow was puled behind the planter to cover the seed in the ground. Thanks for the great pictures. Darryl

Nice stop action catch Ernie. You caught the water at the perfect moment. Also the personality of the lava rock stands out. Great to view but I wouldn't want to be in the water there! Regards, Darryl

This is Battery Point Lighthouse at Crescent City, California. I believe you have the access to the island backwords. At low tide you can walk out to the island but at high tied with the water higher, the only access to the island is by boat. It is a fun lighthouse to photograph though. You caught it on a beautiful day.

Thank you for stopping by to view. It was a great day with my son and to see the wild life made the day even better. This was a young bear and probably with it's mother until a few months ago. Thank you again for your time and comments.

Yes this is a rare find. Usually where you find this kind of pump there was a house near by. It would be fun to know the story behind this pump and it's placement. Great shot of a time long ago.

Hi Steve, I love the moment and experience you captured here. While shooting into the bright light of the sun, it is difficult to capture much in the way of details of other things. Both the boat and the clouds on the horizon make for a wonderful photo. Congratulations on producing such a wonderful photo. Darryl

Shirley, What a wonderful moment you captured. He is looking at the camera as he is having a conversation with it. Be careful this time of year as the males become very aggressive just prior to and during rut. Your exposure and focus is perfect and your DOF works really well. Congratulations. Darryl

Wayne, This is a great capture of a part of this countries history. Just looking at these drivers, I can feel the ground shaking. Great focus, lighting, and DOF. I love the steam era and this such a wonderful capture. Darryl
