Thanks AJ! The place is sublime....hundreds of acres and areas, sometimes quite distant from one another, all arranged according to a theme. A photographer's delight for sure. (And yes, there'll be more!)

Very different from the Chinese garden, but at the same time similar in many ways. Once again, the composition is faultless.

Great to see you here again, Doyle. I hope there'll be many more from you...

Two very contrasting images from the Japanese and Chinese gardens, the differences further emphasised by your choice of presentation. The colours here are strong, especially that rich green in the water and the hints of orange and yellow in the leaves. The bridge (with its reflection) and the little house behind focus the attention perfectly.

Yes...I have the filter. I brought it with me too. I used it too. NOT here though. Hindsight is proving to be the usual 20/20....(Incidentally, the D200 will not take IR shots at all.) Luckily, I have a Nikon D50 that still will!

How ya' been my friend?

Ah Ray, Mate, it is SO good to see some of the old crowd is still about. My best (as you know) to you, your brother and your family.

This was SUCH a lovely place to visit. And that keen eye of yours still has that edge to it. I thought that after the resize the people would be nearly invisible. The three to the right of the bridge might be more visible than the two talking under the roof...but all are difficult to see. Indeed, it is a large bridge. :)

Gorgeous scene. Can't help thinking this would look totally wild in IR. Have you got a filter? If you do, go back and try it again from this spot. I can almost guarantee the results will blow us away.

Hi H.L.

Who wants fake comments anyway? You can choose to adore my work or be wrong. LoL!

Just kidding you...but we don't have to agree even though we do in this case. I really do prefer to hear the truth.

Hi Doyle I like this tone- for some reason it adds more depth to the image and you know how I love color the best -
Nice light and shadow- well composed and excellent detail - I really like this image much better than the color version

This Japanese bridge sits well with these excellent sepia tones my dear friend. It is indeed a most beautiful setting and chosen a great perspective to 'lay out' your composition. The details are great and I love the gentle hints of reflections in the water. Nice work my dear friend. I do so hope that you and Marnie are keeping well and I am so sure that you are both the same fabulously happy couple like my darling wife and I. Take care Doyle all the very best to you both......Ray

Hi Doyle, it's great to see you in here again. I do so miss your posts and seeing your lovely comments in our mutual friends portfolios. Thank you by the way for all your recent visits, you are a true friend. I am a bit behind just now as Ian's condition is worsening and I feel the strong need to giove him as much attention as I can. Enough of this.

I love this charming landscape study with it's pastel tones and excellent rippling reflection. I can just make out some people which give me the scale of the bridge and it's setting. On first look you think it is quite small, then you spy the people and find that it is larger than you immagined. Well done to you my dear friend. Be well, be lucky and be happy. Don't stay away quite so long. As always my very best wishes to you and Marnie, I often think of you......Ray
