Janet,
Its amazing what they will call "friends" or make pets! Mine had a pet fly and ant this past summer. The fly was katy and the ant was...well....Anty! Forntuately she wasn't too attached. Lovely shot....great area of focus and I like the bit of grain in the shot..wether is was intentional or not! As alwasy wonderfully smooth tones!

Damion

Robert,
Out of this series, this is my favorite. I think its because of the colors. I just love colors! They are so deep and rich...almost looks like a colorful rust with your background, which I'm sure was one of your objectives. You definately create some great art!
Bravo,
Damion

Steven,
Probably one of the prettiest portraits of a cat I've ever seen. Beautiful light and eyes to match it. Such sweet and personal shot. I am a cat lover and own one myself and can't help but admire this quite a bit. Fantastic photo.

Tina,
Your composition, background, and DOF are perfect here. Such a fantastic portrait. I love the way you caught her hair in the middle of a down step to create the "lift" or "blown" look in her hair. Bravo!!

Robert,
Very creative capture. Took me a second to figure it out, but I love the rotation. Its amazing how if you crop an image or rotate it, how it changes things so dramatically. I think you took a very comment everyday thing we see and turned it into art! Love the tone conversion and the contrast in this. Fantastic photo.

Janet,
Hard to believe that was your first camera. Are you sure you liked photography back then? Looks like the camera was hardly used! Great series...love the color in the center and the eyes on the right....just ends the series perfectly.
Fantastico!!

Danielle,
Great expression you have caught. Makes me smile just looking at him. Your depth of field is perfect. The 50mm f/1.4 is one of my favorite portrait lenses..especially with people that don't mind a camera close to their faces!! They should put an "L" after this lens because it can be such a sharp lens. Your exposure and WB are perfect. Fine job.

Damion

Joe,
What a fun picture. Love the expression, seems very natural, and I love the pearls. They just bring a "timeless" feeling to the photos. I like the lighting in this situation...it draws the focus toward her and nothing else.
Well done,

You inspire me to take so many more photos of my daughter. I would have never thought of this. Have you seen the work of the Usefilm member "Christy McCullough". She has work that would absolutely inspire you as well.

As always great lighting Janet. I just love the DOF in this...it creates such a depth to the photo. B&W is wonderful...what do you use to convert? A lovely catch light in the eyes to put the cherry on top!!! Such a fun time you've captured...makes me smile just looking at it. Bravo as always.

Janet,
I was reading your comments about this photo and that was the very thing I whispered out loud as I view the photos...."Wow...great lighting".

It really is! Such a candid moment. I like angle taken and the slight tilt of the camera. B&W conversion is flawless!

Great job,

Very natural expression and pose. Lighting is great. Fantastic job with composion.

My one concern is the photo has alot of noise. You could use Neat image to clean this up or the filter in PS CS2 or Elements 3.0 if you have either one of those.

Damion

Very cute..and the composition make this one. I must admit....the right eye has me puzzled. Can't tell if that is part of her smile or a partial blink? Just a bit distracting to me...but she's to darling to care!!

Lyle,
I agree with Shawn..the shot is simple, elegant, great background and the lighting as well.
Unfortunately your color is off a bit. The white balance was not set correctly as seen by the leaves of the rose which I assume should have been green and the table cloth white. Not a really big deal and this is correctable in photoshop. Other that that minor issue...nice eye bud.

Damion

WONDERFUL CAPTURE Mirek,
I love their smiles. Probably the only smile they had that day! The image shows their day to day struggle well...I'm sure you made a difference in this day just stopping to take a snap. Thanks for posting.
