Hey Puven :) I wanted to say how gorgeous this shot is! It is like from a fairy tale, and so colourful. I like your duck shots from the botanic gardens too.
Thank you for your comments on my shots :)

Hey Mervo :) I can't believe you're living in Aus! I expect to see your pics in every newspaper from now on, hehe. I visited Sydney about a month ago, maybe I should post a pic or two...maybe once exams are over hehe, that's not so far away. It's great to hear from you, and see your collection of photos which has changed massively since I was last on this site. I'll see ya soon :)

All the drums together are like anemones in a sea! Yeah love how you captured his face. You know me, I like bright whiteness and I think it needs that space on the right side too but the angles of the room become even more important if cropped there...but overall, without the space there I think it wouldn't capture his personality as much, as you don't associate such a big character with a small room. I do like the angle. Well done! Nadia

Wow, this is great, and I'll have to say I prefer it to the altered one, but it's just so dream-like...I would even like a version with just the right hand two-thirds 'cept then it would be too much of a mystery maybe..anyway 'tis very cool. Keep up the great work! Nadia :)

The comforting colours and sort of edgy nice feel from the...dragonization/sharpening really drew me to this shot. It's interesting how you left the black space at the top..works how the border resembles the edge of the drain. Are they stains on your jumper?? Hehe, nice work! Nadia

Aww Mervo! I wanted to comment on some of your pics before you commented on mine! :P I have been sick! and too busy...I hate uni at the moment but in..hmm...6 or 7 weeks I will be on holidays! So down to business ;) what an awesome awesome picture you have here. The colours are magnificent. What struck me second was the grittiness like on the teeth and the expression adds to that of course, and the pores on his cheek too haha. It is so in your face and with great clarity and oh, I don't think anyone could compliment it enough. 7(000000000) from me

It's delectable how her hair frames her face in this shot! It's interesting how the eyes bring out the blue in her lips (probably just a reflection). Beautiful!

I see you're back too! And starting fresh... I was so into this during my summer holidays that the moment uni started and I didn't have time to keep up to date, it felt overwhelming to go on at all. I was sick for a week or so and basically I thought this subject was interesting enough to ressurect my usefilm identity for :P I realise every now and then when I pick up the camera that you discover so many interesting things with it in your hands! I'm sure that in 5 or so weeks when my midyear exams are over, I'll be on here for 3 weeks straight, but until then I have to slap my hand whenever I go to click 'usefilm' because I should be doing study :S See-ya round Mervo

The stained glass effect is certainly a great idea. This portion of the pic looks like it's from a fairy tale, hand-drawn from a dream. The shorter and straighter parts of the milkweed look further forward and slightly messy against the simple stained-glass parts. The pods, or whatever you'd call them, especially look pasted on and from a different reality. But they do also add interest... Overall quite a captivating piece, well done

The goat becomes absolutely tangible with this series of shots combined. It's like it's 3D form has been rendered from all these angles and I could reach out and pat it. Well done

I have to agree with everyone that your capture is so magical, mostly owing to the water droplets, which I've never seen in this way before, whether on photos or real life! The trees in the background also look wonderful with their crazy shapes, and it looks like a dusty wind behind them, a very nice feeling Well done!

Really good work Jim, to spot it, and capture them to get this effect. I love seeing surface tension in action, and it's just so good how the line of 'symmetry' goes from corner to corner and the reflections in each 'dent' are the opposite colour to the surrounding water. Well done!

Wow, a stunning shot for sure, well done! You've caught the face beautifully and the leaves in front of it form a wonderful kind of almost border. I think I would've preferred it without the intentional blur, or at least a slight levels boost (to strengthen the black and lighten the white) but that's just me. Great work!

Hey Christine, love your work! This is a really appealing image, it's mostly the unconventional crops that give your shots the edge, and this one's no different. The angle and subject matter are obviously good too! Well done.
