A thousand pardons, Jose. I sincerely apologise for my oversight on detecting your comment on my cute Cockies. Since I took this pic, another older one nearly took the END of my finger off !
They have amazing strenght in those beaks.

Thank you, my dear.
I know you like flowers, and the color of these were so nice. It's a pity about the old fence which is about to be replaced ! Thanks for your comment.

Anna, I'm sorry, but somehow I missed your kind comment to my backyard spider 'pet'. I have this phobia of spiders since I ran into a web in the dark with a fairly large spider crawling in my hair just above the hairline. In my panic to brush him out, I broke the sac holding HUNDREDS of BABIES, which cascaded down my head, seeking refuge in nostrils, ears, etc. It took me about two weeks to stop the crawling feeling !
Thanks for your comment, Anna.

When I was living in Auckland the lorikeets were becoming quite common. They breed like wild rabbits......there are also Kookaburras around the northern suburbs of Auckland, and Wallabies both in the north and south island - it seems that we export our people across the ditch and you export you animals.............

Thanks Mike. I think we discussed the variation between NZ and OZ lorikeets. It's more than difficult to 'freeze' them as they are always moving! This shot was untouched except for cropping.
Cheers Mike
