Thank You for the beautiful rose John......
It is gorgeous- Is the name of this rose 'Diana, Princess of Wales' ....(duh)) I think it must be:))

Thank YOU for your nice comment on my cactus shot..... Yes, the bloom is in focus and some of the cactus near the bloom ... but the rest is not.... and on purpose.

Cheers Mate,
M~

Hello M,
Thank you. The ferry race IS real but on a different day...oops!!
By the way, your pic of the Cactus flower IS spectacular and I agree with Dave Arnolds comment about removing the spent bloom. Is the flower in focus? It looks like the cactii in front are more so.
I used to th Cactus and Succulint Society of NSW ....trivia.
Cheers mate,
JD
ps I have included a ROSE 'Diana,Princess of Wales' for you.

This is a terrific view. Including the people really puts the size of the balloon into perpective. Super image.

Thank you for your comment, M. I don't think abstract is MY 'Cup of Tea' as you put it, but the diagonal lines did catch my eye, as did your pic shooting the 'Avalanche'..
Kind regards

Yep,
The general rule is for the ladies to keep their KNEES together, which really makes mounting these contraptions difficult !

Listen here, you...
I have been checking your work out for a long time. I don't always comment on it, I admit, and that is pretty slack, but I have said truthfully that you have the attitude, the dedication and the natural flair to be a good photographer. My suggestion to you is, whether you are taking up golf, tennis or photos, you have to invest in yourself with lessons/ tuition, read all you can get you hands on and always 'Look to Learn'. Joining photography clubs is invaluable, as they have PROFESSIONALS that most of us mere mortals could only hope to emulate.
Your Mate from Down Under,
JD

Hi,
Thanks for the feedback, M. If you Google 'Penny Farthing' it will explain to get on was quite strenuous, whereas you had to get the bike rolling at a pace, place a foot on the little step above the small wheel while holding the handlebars FIRMLY, and throw the leg over the seat to push down onto the opposite pedal so you didn't lose momentum.
It was PROBABLY why ladies seldom rode these...
Cheers
