Awsone capture - the coolest part of this fascinating shot is how the metal warps the photo when you scroll down. Great shot and good job with BIP.

Nice experiment. Well thought out. Shows a very good eye and crative mind.

One sugestion would be to flip it over in PS so that the text reads correctly...

Cool shot, Kevin. Good use of angle and perspective to hide the subject whilst revealing something new about it. My first impression was that of the inside of a theatre, with all the charis lined up and the stage at the back.

Nice work.

Thanks for your kind comments on my vulture pic.

I do know that song actually, I like a lot of classic rock (my dad's the main reason for that), and although I don't particularly like that song either, I do have it stuck in my head now. Thanks a lot, Ian.

But seriously, thank you for your comment, I am always glad to see someone who will take some time on a photo they like, instead of just saying 'great dof' and moving on, like some people tend to do.

And thank you all for your comments, your encouragement inspires me to keep looking.

-Kevin

Hi Kevin,
Congrats on the award for this one. I can see why it gets the attention. One of the great things about photography is when someone with an "eye" can create something out of a scene that hundreds of people walk right by every day without noticing. It's one of the reasons the Alternate Perspective catagory is so interesting. Keep up the good work.

Kevin, you'd be a bit young to remember the Steve Miller Song (although it was covered by Seal more recently) 'time keeps on slipping...into the future'. The image made me hum that and now I can't stop even though I don't care much for the song! I like what you did here, the reflected greenery and the macro effect of the pulled threads ensures the watch looks old and suits the concept of reflection on time slipping away. It's a very mature piece of photography from a young mind, as was your comment on my Fly Fishing photo, one of few to really get the point of it.
I like your portfolio which shows a great awareness of the use of perspective and angles.
Cheers, Ian

Thanks for your comments, guys!

Oh, and for all the rest of you, if you liked my image, you should check out Judi's recent one of rain drops. It's amazing! I didn't even know that she had posted a droplet image, but hey, I guess it rains in Australia, too!

Hehehehe....great minds think alike. I like your image...the dark moodiness adds to the feeling a lot of people get when there is rain.

Where I live, rain is a joy so I tend to look at it in a bright manner, but when I lived in other parts of Australia, rain wasn't so enjoyable, and therefore your image would be more suited.

Thanks for your comments matie.
