Really a very interesting shot, Beverly. I am particularly fond of the backlighting. It creates a dramatic feel and provides a great pallete for the very fine details that you have captured on the stem! The framing is tasteful, and this is an outstanding composition.

Richard, thank you for your feedback! Yes I used a 28-80mm lens set to 35mm. The cove edge (horizon) is slightly rounded from this angle which is probably what you're seeing. The other image doesn't show the roundness as much from the angle I was shooting in

Great lighting and composition, perfect timing on this shot. I do prefer the other image, however I am sort of at a loss to explain why. I think maybe the horizon doesn't look quite right .... did you use the 28mm end of your lens?????? A great shot none the less.

Hi James, I had been looking forward to going to Peggy's Cove for a long while. I haven't been there since I was a child. So it was really nice to visit the place again last spring, this time with camera in hand. I will share more photos of this beautiful place and I my one hope is that I have captured the magnificent beauty it possesses.
