Great lighting!!!...I'd like to see it sharper though, maybe a cable release would help? I love it nonetheless!

Cheers,

Maciek.

Hi Curtis,
very good abstract work,
like the effect of DOF, design is very nice also
maybe central division between two parts might be changed..
regards
Baki

Thanks for the comment. When I printed this I actually used a cropped version, but I tried posting this to see what people thought. I'll post the print-version also. Thanks again.

Calin, thanks for the comment. I posted this uncropped version, but when I made the prints I cropped off a lot of the right. After posting this version I too feel the right is too much, and when cropped the curve of the left pulls forward more. I'll try to post a cropped version soon. Thanks again.

nice catch. you have a good eye for incidental abstracts. there may be several alternate and equally interesting croppings of this one.

the DOF is well chosen for me, but IMHO the proportion between blurr and sharp could be a bit more to the sharp part...

beside of that it is a fantastic shot...

Cheers,
Verena

I like the colors here, the contrast is nice. I am not sure about the division of image in two equal parts; seems a little bit too much oof for me. I would love to see the texture on the right side of it.

yesterday I saw the famous movie 'seven years in tibet' about Heinrich Harrer and the Dalai Lama and the moment where the chinese generals came for a visit and they destroyed the sand mandala to give a negative impression...the start sign for the offensive against Tibet...living peaceful in this world is perhaps the most difficult target to reach...

Thanks for this moment...

Cheers,
Verena

the focus on the doorknob with the ominous figure in the background really gives this image a creepy feel to it. very very cool.
