Beautiful composition, colour, contrast in textures. Congratulations!

Yes, that's also a nice way of seeing it. However, I find it's very elongated and looks too much like a crop. Had it been conceived originally your way, with more height, it would work very nicely. What I liked about the erased half gull was the sharp view of the webbed feet, plus a bit more orange in a predominantly bluish image. But, once again, I do like your version. Thanks!

Very engaging abstract compositions throughout your portfolio. Strong textures. Square format suits your painterly approach very well. Congratulations!

Very nice, Barbara. The top and bottom black bands add to the image--it looks very lunar. Best regards.

Lovely image. The birds are a great catch. The warm colour cast and contrast are perfect. Congratulations!

I find this image intriguing. It reminds me of reflections on a glass building, only that the geometry is reversed: the reflections are straight and the imaginary building structure distorted. Very nice!

Very evocative snapshot. The subdued colours match the occasion and the subject. Congratulations!

Nice technical shot! Maybe the vignetting detracts from it a little bit, but very good all the same. Regards, Ronald.

Very nice, retro treatment. Intensity of fill light gives the image a studio feel (Hollywood 50s).

Very nice image, Robert. I thought the black and white version was particularly elegant: great contrast, deep blacks and lovely midtones in the glass. Ronald.

Very nice image, Umberto. It's a self-contained picture that stands on its own: coal, cold, black (and white) contrast, bleakness, energy. All the elements are in the frame. Also, the sinuous lines of the marshaling yard are very attractive. Congratulations!

Nice photo, Keith. Very bright and sharp for a tricky situation. The movement is just right: less would've been static, more would've blurred the carriage doors and the underground livery. A pleasure to look at. Congratulations!

Nicely framed. The pavement works very well as a simple, contrasting background. The colours on the subject (person and umbrella) are delicious. Very well seen! Congratulations.

Gracias. Saludos, Ronald.

Just the right angle and distance to convey the immensity and movement of this quasi-zoomorphic piece. The lighting is very nice, and bit enigmatic: there seems to be sun on the right, some tinted fill light coming from the left and no harsh shadows, just enough to emphasize the rivets and the metal textures. Congratulations, Tom. Regards, Ronald.

Very nice, Tony. Viewed as an abstract, it looks like monochrome stained glass. Despite the lower angle, the lines appear quite straight (not that converging lines would necessarily be a problem--it would just look different); did you use perspective controls? The diagonally placed curves look like ribbons fluttering in the wind and the overall sinuous shape of the building adds great depth. It would be interesting to see a series of sister images, some with greater emphasis on the darker side of the grey scale. This is a lovely, dynamic photograph with lots of room for sundry interpretations or, if you are not so inclined, plain sensual contemplation. Congratulations!

Interesting. The corn has a metallic or pearl-like texture. Monochrome is an excellent choice. Congratulations! Ronald.
