This reminds me of Howe's Moving Castle, an animated film by the Japanese Director, who I can't put my finger on right now. I almost expect it to come to life. Like looking at Pinnocio.

Sparrows make a good subject don't they, since they have populated almost the whole world, everyone is familiar with them! I have a nice one from Finland I'll share with you soon.
