WOW... so surreal... I disagree though, I think the light in the corner and the flare really makes this picture stand out from most lightning shots. Personally I find the bottom a little distracting... maybe a slight higher crop leaving some vegetation in the shot but removing the orange lines would bring it to perfection.

Nice picture, though you could have picked a more orriginal name. How about .. dazing? and .. confussing? haha joking. Really, girl by the window would have worked... oh, and btw.. awsome lighting!

no PS.. only scanning settings to get the colours right. And as you can see the colour of the sky is not right.. its a bit too warm.

Hmm.. I'll be honest with this one. It is way too out of focus. I do not know if you took it from a car and it actually is camera shake / motion blurr but it is VERY blurry :P.

As for the composition... I do not find any imediate subject to focus upon. In other words.. it might have been a superb shot.. but the angle choice was not too great.

Now I have to say something good and I will.. I LOVE the colours!

Thanks for shareing and keep on snappin.

Ok .. now that I re-read.. you're saying that its a Tomcat right? Heh thought I knew what f14's look like lol.

Nice angle. And given the light .. it turned out great. As for the crop... I would have put the plane right in the centre(vertically) as there is nothing of interest on the floor nor in the sky.

Thats an F15 right?? Cuz the air grip edge points outwards and the vertical fins are not slanted. (Do you even call them fins?? )

Beautiful shot of a beautiful country (I can just presume that .. as every pic Ive seen was impressive).

I have a question: Did you use a flas?? Looks like you lit up the foreground with one and as a consequence the background is unnaturally dark.

And yes, the lake looks superb. Congratulations!

Great... slightly hard to keep in focus compared with what Im used to.

Really nice shot.. nice focus, and I really like the way the sidewinder stands out. Only problem is overly tight focus... you know the rule of leaving extra space at the place where the object is pointing (that + the tail is cut off). Good job.. I wish I had a chance like that.

Nice but blurred... now that I read ur full comment I appreciate it even more hehe. But a flash would have detracted from the mood. I think it is all good... but I think the blurr of the aircraft itself is just bad focus, not motion blur (I might be wrong though)... which could have been fixed.

Awsome colours and so called "crepuscular" rays(ya I know the terms only reffers to morning sites). Very nice tones...Most of the time one would try to avoid the redish nuance from sodium and tungsten lights but this just works!

I REALLY like this one... quite impressive. An example when nature shows its size, and humans yet controll it.

Technically great as well.. if I was to point something out ... I might have wanted to see more of the picture (a wider lens...).

Ok. What I meant in my comment was that the top portion of the pic appears slightly soft(or out of focus)... this can be corrected by focusing at the hyperfocal length instead of close or center(as auto focus usually does) and setting a high f-stop such as 16 or 22... Once you do that you will have a long exposure. Because of that you need a tripod to avoid camera shake (I suggest a light tripod such as the velbon maxi 343E.. that i use which feels as it doesnt exist). All of the above will bring the WHOLE picture into perfect focus.

I think that is NOT the maximum DOF. You have to focus at the hyperfocal distance... you have nothing out of focus up close... should put the focus at 12th fret and use f22 and have the camera sit on it for 16 secs or so.

thanks, I never thought the day shot idea, and now its too late as all leaves are dead hehe... once we get some snow here Im going to make some very DEAD looking pictures in the area (you know windless cold with a little stream, snow cracking under your feet, only thing you hear is your breathing and the little stream once u stop...). I have some great subjects for the above description like a bridge etc. Last year I walked through this park every day(almost noone around) and always wanted to do some shots...

Forgot to mention that the white surrounding makes it hard to see details... please send an email to suggestions@usefilm.com and ask for a dark background for better viewing. Thank you!

The colours are a bit dull + there is a washed out blue tint... Otherwise its pretty neat (not too artistic though :P).

Neat thing to do. And great photo. I take it to be a handheld, otherwise you may have exposed abit longer to get a few stars in the sky?? Or else I dont really understand why so much uncropped black sky :P
And as I said.. I dont think the picture would have minded a slightly longer exposure.

I really like this picture too.. I just wish I TOO could be out on the sea and take pictures hehe.
And Im quite impressed by the clear water on the sea... Ive been out on the black sea in a couple of ocasions and I had waves from 2 meters to about 14 m lol.. little pilot ship would submarine through the waves.

First time in my life I saw them. Was a lot dimmer then it shows in the picture.. thats why I had super long exposures and push processed. Problem was super high velocity wind that did not allow the tripod to stay perfectly still => not sharp buildings (and the building is tilted hehe .. but I like it that way)

I did not imply it was altered. Just that digital sensors tend to bring out the shaddows to do an average lighting(kinda like exposing the shadows at a higher iso) and the shaddow detail is way better then even the eye can capture creating that "sureal" look I was talkin about.
tho the picture is GREAT. Good Job!!

Really nice flare effect and just great night photo. I strive to learn the secrets tho I find that taking the digitap pic is like cheating :P. the visibility becomes too day like even tho appears to be night making for a surreal look.

please comment on my pics

Once again I wish I saw the houses at the top clearly. Learn how to properly use DOF once and you will be done. That requires manual focusing but it is worth it. Might require a tripod too .

Yes you can just type in the camera model instead of picking it from the list... works great :P
