Awesome photo. Could you give some more information on lighting and technique and such things. I'm really interested in doing something like this.

Looks Nasty the weather I mean I sure would like to see it posted in B/W, and without all the grain effect for the heck of it.

Nice.

I like the way this was shot (the lighting, the choice of b&w, etc.) The only thing that I keep thinking though (and maybe you were going for this) is that the distance between them (not just physical) seems large. I can't say why. It's not their expressions; I think it's just the wide blank space between them. Or maybe that's just me.

Oh how I agree with T. Kent's comment on the lighting. A concert with good lighting...was not really sure they existed. Congratulations on this one...and I love the rain!

She's very pretty.

Things I would change: Her right hand. I would like to see if from the side of her hand, not the backside. Looks as though she's holding up the tree, or trying to keep from falling over.

Gobo the hair to get rid of the hot spot from the sun, and add a bit of fill in the face. You have plenty of light around her head to add fill with a reflector if you can get one in front of her.

Regards,

I like the pose. However, I don't understand if you were trying to make the subjects look red or if the red tint to their skin is a result of the red background being relected by the flash. If this wasn't so red I'd really like it.

I think the subjects are lit ok and they have pleasent expressions, although I'm no expert.

The red background over powers the image and I find it very distracting.

What a beautiful photo. I love the softness to all the white, with the slight tanned tone to the woman. One nitpick... the baseboard on the right is showing and I think it would have been an easy thing to cover it up with a bit of sheet. But, still, nice pose with a wonderful feel to it!

True, it's not going to change the world, but you do have to love light that has this chiarscuro effect, great image.

Hi Niklas...a great shot!! Lighting is perfect and she definitely does have a wonderful smile.

The only thing that bothers me...and maybe its just me...is how her leg looks at the back and how the front one has been cropped. Wondering if a crop on the right just enough to remove that back leg would be more effective.

Hope others will comment on this one. Overal, I like this image very much...*smile*...Maggie

The photographer did a pretty good job what with the lighting she had to work with as the nurses face needs just a little more lighting to her face. Would make for a pretty good ad in a magazine for Dentist offices

I was struck by how the long exposure you used here has turned the fountain into such a solid mass. It reminds me of my Burning Match photo (Quick view ID# 4534). Fire and Water. So different and yet so much the same.
