I think you're being hard on yourself...It's a fine photo and I'd think it was good for publication.
Chips are sharply defined (if not that appetizing to look at) and the composition of the frame is well balanced.
The sticks are ever-so-slightly akimbo on their rest, but if I was running the balancing act that you were to get the shot, I'd understand that (very) minor defect.
Great effort. Good work. CG

Looks great in b&w, especially with all the different shades. My pics from the Bund always end up having the Pudong area in main focus, so it's great to see the people being the main subject in this one. The only thing i would have tried to do differently is to get the whole of Pearl tower(the antenna part also) into the picture.

I have to be honest I hadn't even noticed it looked like a dragon, thanks for pointing it out. Now I can pretend that it is the reason I took the photo! It's real though not added in Photoshop.

I've seen a girl take a photo of a senset on a distant mountain range in Huang Shan here in China with a flash. That made me laugh, unless she had a nuclear reactor built into it I don't know how she was going to light up something two killometers away.

Facinating views of China through your portfolio. You have a very good sense of light and composition. The contrast and colors in your shots are very effective.
I like these series of shots, but was surprised that they were taken in China - they really speak to a universal view of cities in general.
