Amy, Thanks for the comment on this one and the earlier gull image. I like photographing birds and happened to be in places where there were lots of gulls a couple of times recently in the late afternoon. I hadn't paid too much attention to gulls before, but they're really quite pretty.

LOVE IT! Reflections are very hard to get right - I've been trying with building sides, for a long time and am hopeful to pull it off one day. I'll start looking at puddles too, now. I like how the edge of the puddle (on the bottom) subtley reminds me this is not the real building. Amy

Really good capture. Nice light, good DOF. Just posted a similar 1 of a greylag (?). This is definitely better than mine. I like seeing similar shots from different people on here though. Where mine aren't as good it encourages me to get back out and have another go. Well done with this one.

The blue tone is great as is the "web" of branches around the bird. You've managed to get the bird's face perfectly sharp...great shot.
