Excellent detail and the soft background is great.
I left a comment on another macro this morning and I will leave about the same here.
I find this to be more then just a macro, I like the composition very much.
Without a good composition all you have is a macro.
You have a beautiful photograph.

Yes it is a red wood ant. A high magnification image, the ant is about 5 mm long.
