Marc, You are living my dream. To travel the world shooting landscapes, what a life. Looking through your portfolio I am awinspired. You mention in several of your flavor texts that you use very little PS. Admiridable. All to often I see people whom try and create a good photograph instead of capture it. Your work is amazing, thank you so very much for sharing.

I really wish this were a larger image. Great color saturation, was this done in Ps? Good framing as well.

Wonderful! I love this photo. A truly artistic shot! It's nice to see someone using techniques to get different effects, out side of PS. It's also nice to see someone else using Minolta! this one goes straight to my favorites.

Very intriguing. The picture as a whole looks out of focus, with the farthest left wood being the most “in focus”. But that being said, I love the image. The framing is very nice and the colors are wonderful. Did you use PS? Either way a very wonderful photo.

A single moment captured forever. 10 seconds earlier and the sun is to high, 10 seconds later and it is gone. Breathtaking! You have quite the portfolio.

This is a good picture. You may want to try and use a smaller apeture next time. The mountain seems to be a little out of focus. But great framing and subject.

I love the sound of ice when it breaks open for the first time. There is no sound like it. This is a great photo. Your depth of field is wonderful and you captured the sky perfectly. I shoot mainly B&W and I am getting my first digital camera next month. I am so glade to see that one can still capture the depth, which you have here, with a digital.

It's rather funny, I have this EXSACT image hanging in my home from my trip to Venice. It's a good photo and a wonderful place to visit. My finance and I are going back for 3 weeks for our honey moon.

Jason, wonderful image! The tones and colors are perect for this image! I shoot mainly B&W so I am biased, but this image would not have been the same without the depth that color brings. Congratulations.

Powerful! The timing couldn?t be better capturing the foot hanging over the child?s outstretched hands. The use of B&W sets the tone even more. I hate to make a suggestion on a picture I already like so much, but I think I would like to see it without the hallway on the right hand side. If this could be cropped I believe it would ?clean up? the image and make the lines of the photo sharp and clean.

I think this is a wonderful image. You have framed it very nicely. For presentation purposes I think I would like it as a triptych. Framed in three separate but identical frames presented horizontally with both of the end pictures without the girl. Just a personal opinion on an already great image.

Nice picture John. I think it would benefit from being tilted just one or two degrees left to straighten out the horizon. Overall it is a very nice picture I like the light reflecting off the wet surface.

Combining two of my favorite arts, Haiku and Photography this image is absolutely astounding! The photograph is simply amazing. The crisp, details in the tide meeting the sand, and the froth as it reaches the shore, it demands the focus of your eyes. Panning upward you follow the detailed rocks jutting from the shoreline leading into the white water hugging its base and extending to the distant islands. What a picture!

I would have to agree, the effect is very nice. Adjusting the F-stop for a red filter or polarizing filter is simple, 3 stops. Of course as simple as they say it is there is only about a thousand circumstances where it doesn?t work!

Don't get me wrong, it is just a personal thing, but I love the B&W without the blue tones. I am by no mean proficient in PS so what people do there always amazes me. Like I said personal opinion, but I like the true B&W. We can discuss the small details till we are blue in the face, no pun intended, but that fact is this is a magnificent image that was masterfully framed and exposed.

I think the minimum distance for a disposable is 3 ft. I could be wrong, maybe try backing up taking the photo and cropping it to the same frame as this one. Then you have a doggie in focus, while still retaining the same look.
