As a Nikon shooter to a Canon shooter. Well done, nice personal portrait of two very cute 'ladies'.

I have a 19 year-old daughter and I regret not making more use of her as a model when she was these youngsters age.
This image brings a smile to my face and warns my heart.

Great capture but the angle is too acute for me, technically a good image.

The over saturated colours don't fuss me, but the angle just doesn't work.

A job well done but you playing it safe, I looked at a number of your images and and you can produce really good work.

Final analysis, good but not cutting edge.

A meerkat, is native to the region I grew up in and this is great capture. I really enjoy the fact you converted in to grayscale too.
Nice image.

Am totally jealous, nice comp and of course stunning subject, one of my very real regrets is that I never got a chance to fly in one of these.

Thanks Howie

I had the ref on the right and I was trying to crowd him out of the image, these guys move very fast and yes, my comp is way too tight, you are absolutely right.

But as I have found in these situations, you get what you get. The boxer on the right was the challenger and the ultimate victor, he had his mouth guard knocked out of his mouth four times in the 12 bouts and I managed to capture three of the four, this just happens to be one of my favourites.

Thanks glad you like it.

I had barely finished taking the image when it was whisked away from me and placed in front of a paying customer.

HI Tom,
thanks
I know it may seem hard but I shot over 3000 images that day, I was contracted to shoot the event for a German company and I managed to find a rhythm and everything seemed to work.

The light was fantastic, the cyclists were forced to slow down and this was the spot where they accelerated. SO I suppose I caught them as they really started to move but not at their top speed.

Dramatic, my type of photography. Maybe a little lighter, but wonderful capture.

Vignetting is a disappointment because it is a distraction from a wonderful image.

I am not sure why, but this looks very Japanese, I would have prefered some 100% black tones somewhere.

The feather outside edge disdappoints me a little but I understand loading up images on the site means a reduction of quality. I always fight with the same issue.

Beautiful capture all the same.

Very emotive, great reportage stuff.

Beautiful rim lighting, nice comp and well handled on the lighting. Not an easy image to capture.

Oh, now I get it, a fellow low light photographer!

Looks like we like hanging out in simoilair venues even if we are continents apart.

Great image.

I still have my first camera, a Pentax K1000 SE. It never let me down and was rock solid work horse.;)

Hi Matteo

thank you, I had a lot of fun shooting the boxing but it was tough to find images that look a little fresh.

I was trying out a new lens, 12-24 (F3.5 - 5.6) The lens is little slow but gives you a wonderful sense of space in a boxing match.

Hi Mirek, thanks for your support and kudos,
I have posted the full story and pics here: http://www.demotix.com/dashboard

The full sized images is here: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_zZsZyODUM6g/SjQf7Duf0FI/AAAAAAAAB TA/ox-7ZTuVhG8/s1600-h/_DSC3474.jpg

What the smaller image and dialogue fails to tell you is that the animal was still alive.

A bolt had penetrated the brain, but it's eyes still tracked and the blur effect is in fact the result of the animal moving it's head and neck away from me, and the knife that cut it's throat.
I could in fact hear the air rush out of it's lungs.

The 'cutter' for want of a better description, was on my right. I don't feel comfortable with these images at all but am I glad I did the photo essay.
