I agree totally with you (about the sharpening).
It seems to be a recurrent problem with some of my pictures: they are too much sharpened, I believe, at compression time by UseFilm. Maybe there is a parameter at upload time that could be useful?

Always a pleasure for me to receive interesting (and welcoming) comment/critique.
I started (by DXO software) on my raw .DNG file with a neutral view, maybe that was not the 'best' decision for the subject with those strange branches!?
What I do regret is the exagerated sharpening happening at compression time by UseFilm.

Hi! Jan, what a beautiful image and composition. I'm surprised you have'nt received more comments for this, It really is a great shot, I love it! If I had one small crit. it would be, that for my taste the contrast seems a little flat, i would like to see a little more highlight. (my taste). It is still a great image and would'nt mind it in my folio. Well done! Regards Jim.

Excellent control of very difficult lighting situation here... this is a very beautiful composition... love that nice light coming through the trees and still have enough detail in the dark areas. I know this is not an easy shot. Well done! :) 7/7

Excellent composition with beautiful colors. A bit too dark in the foregound however. A GND filter would have helped bring out more details in the foreground. Still, a very pleasant image.
