Hi Janet- You really have gone floral on us. Hey, give me a call so we can plan a photo field trip, maybe the flower fields in Carlsbad? 5332882. Long beach prefix. I also found a couple of easy how-to's for making a cheap light box for indoor photography.

I really like the colour saturation you've achieved here. I thought it might have been phoyoshoped a bit until I saw you used fuji.
Well Done!

Hugo, thank you so much for this very honest and insightful critique. I knew this photo had problems that's why I posted it. I had not posted in a long time and felt my recent work was a little rusty.
I so wanted this shot to work but needed advice on hoe to improve my future work. I tried going back to the original image and using your composition recommendations, but the image quality just isn't there.
I hope my next round of postings show a progression of improvement. Thanks again,
Sean(Michael)

The colours here are excellent, as are the details. But I think it is the near perfect depth of field that really make this a standout.

A very intriguing choice of perspective. It gives the scene an abstract quality. You've also been able to convey a feeling of vertigo with this downward view. Well done.

Outstanding capture. The colors are great and the play of light on the dew is beautiful. I think the shallow DOF really works for this image.

Roger, You are right about the black on black clumping. I think a better crop might have included only the two couples on the right.

This is a very intriguing shot. I've come back to look at it several times. I thought it would look good in B&W, so I took the liberty of converting it in PS. I also cropped out a little of the foregroung that looked washed out in B&W. Hope you like the results.
