WIW! congrats on the stock house purchase! The reason I mentione about the settings, is because I made a similar mistake on the 30D settings. I was shooting at iso1600 in summer...:)

Congrats again.

Ed: Thank you for your kind words and suggestions. All my in-camera settings are set to neutral. I use RAW exclusively. Birds are a funny subject. When I set the eye by the "thirds" rule I get complaints that there isn't enough "room" in front of and above their heads in the frame. I suppose I can't win. The 1D MKIII does tend to produce highly saturated images. I like them that way and this image may be over the top but it was just picked up by a stock house the way it is so I guess I will leave it. No offense, everyone has personal preferences and I would be the last guy to ask them to change. Thanks again.

Hi Fred, another great hummer. I would recommend triming a bit of the right and desaturate de photo. Its glowing! Do you have the in-camera setting to over-saturate? I have the 30D ( I can only dream of the 1D MK3) and I shoot with my settings to "0" zero and adjust everything during RAW convertion. The photo process is as crucial as the taking of the photo. I have a attached a photo with my suggestions. For the crop and the desat. I just put its eye on the upper rule of thirds crossing. I desat -30

Bill: Thanks for your kindness. The hummingbirds down there are amazing. The structural color of their feathers is more than amazing. These little birds could fold out the purple-blue patches under their eyes like a second pair of wings.

Man, I just can't beleive the colors you captured here Fred. I bet seeing it live and watching the colors change in the sun light was really something to see??
Beautiful capture......another 7 from me.

Hi Fred,
This one is a male Green spiny lizard (Scelophorus malachiticus). Females are grey and a lot less colorful than males.
To answer Dave's question, with tail included, it can measures about 200 mm (almost 8 inches).
The grey coloration at the end of its tail means that it got broken at some point and grew back.
Congratulations for another great capture.
Yamil
