Cessy:
A wonderful, spectacular image . . . how cute can it get? Something about baby animals just makes you think Awwwww! John Miller referred me to this shot and I'm so glad he did . . . I can see immediately why it reminded him of my Giraffe capture. I love the presentation here and the image stands out so vividly . . . almost like a relief. Impressive work and Congrats to you for the award!

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~

This has just popped up on the front page - it's a really lovely shot. Have you seen Doyle Chastain's image of giraffes? They could be a pair!

A really neat unreal feeling emanates from this photo, Cessy. I love the mood you've set. The low angle lighting is terrific.

What a wonderful feeling in this photo of the overwhelming woods almost swallowing up the couple. Very well done, Cessy.

Cessy this has a wonderful feel to it. The IR did some wonderful things to the trees and building. Very nice indeed. I would just check the level on it, it looks a bit slanted to the right? Maybe just me...

A very dreamlike quality to this one, Cessy! The IR gives it a very different atmosphere than the original would have. Well seen and well done!

I think this one is slightly less successful, Cessy, partly because the sky looks so odd, and partly because of the generally low contrast and lack of solid blacks. I have been trying to learn the characteristics of a new film (the 100 ISO film I am using to get better panoramas) and it is quite difficult. So it must be even more so with the quite different characteristics of IR. Do keep on experimenting, though; I can see there are wonderful possibilities...

I could hardly believe my eyes when I saw "Lyon--Parc Tete d'Or." I used to live and work in Lyon, and learned to love the place. Very photogenic. I was a keen photographer then, taking Agfa colour slides (because of the very high speed of the film--an amazing 50 ASA/ISO!) I think Kodachrome was about 12 ASA at the time... Alas, all my slides have faded to dull browns and greens. I love the muted effect of the IR in this photo. I think it would make a splendid stereo image, too, if that were possible.

This makes a nice addition--and change of pace--for your "Spring is Sprung" series. Pleasant softness and colour chord.
