rob I am gals you are perusing through my stuff it makes me flick back to yours and this is another bloody good shot mate. The duo-tone works and the angles make it real interesting. Maybe you should get your daughter to take a shot of you...regards roger
PS I like the cake art myself, I think a blurred the top layer and gave it a overlay filter to get the color effect...

To Stefan,

Time is a fragile thing..it means what it says...once a year there is this country-fair and my wife and daughter take a swing on the roundabout...it is over and done in minutes..leaving nothing but the memory, which could get lost as the years go on, buried under the load of impressions modern people are exposed to...the picture was taken to preserve that particular moment in time..not because it shows anything special but because it does not show anything special...those moments (the not so special ones) stand the greatest risk of getting lost somewhere..they are fragile things in our minds...the true value of a moment lived, is often only seen over the distance of many years...In fact you could say that I take a lot of pictures because I am at the moment, not able to say how valuable a moment is...time will tell.

Just a few edits later :-) The result is wonderful - it almost looks staged to look exactly like this. The title does not make too much sense to me, but maybe that is the physicist in me that is rearing his ugly head.

Rob, very nice photoshop-work as usual. I especially like the threatening atmosphere. In this moment still enjoying the fair, but there is a terrible storm coming up....
