Dan, thanks for the comment. I really like this but I can't seem to figure out why. The dark sky and ocean up against the white clouds and leaves its very visually pleasing.

I have always been intrigued by captures such as this. I can't really explain it. I like the use of DoF here; makes the photo look as if it will go on forever. Nice shot!

Thanks Chris. I know it's been a long time. I see that your son is growing, that's just wonderful. Expect some new work soon, I am heading to the Napa Valley in the late Spring so I should have some amazing captures to share. Happy New Year!

It is actually very curly. I left it hanging to dry for my than a week and it still curls. It must be from the thin emulsion. I can't complain either, the price is too good. If I can find a film that suits me, I can develop in rodinal, and is that cheap, I am in heaven. Especially for a college kid who spends all this money on film. A side question, any progress on Efke 25?

I think this has a lot of potential. I know that it is color here, but I think the effect will be much more satisifying in b&w. There is just so much good contrast lost in the color. I have attached what I envisioned, I hope you don't mind me taking creative license. I think you are heading down the right track.

I scanned this from a 6x6 neg on an Epson 4180 that I bought yesterday. It was toned in PS.

I have always loved this memorial. I will have to correct you though, the memorial here is the World War One memorial. It is close the the World War Two memorial. It's such a shame about this one though, it has been neglected for many years and is in need of some restoration.

As for the technicial side of this, I would have cropped the bottom a little bit to give it a tighter feel. Overall a great composition.

I originally went right past this image, but after some thought I was drawn back. After studying for a little bit, my original thought of this need to be b&w has drifted away. I really do enjoy the richness of the color here. The only thing that bothers me is the stalk on the bottom left. It is slightly distracting. Other than that, I think you have a wonderful image here.

I like this shot very much. The perspective, the tones, and the exposure. I would have liked to have seen less grain, but it does not take away from a wonderful image.

On a seperate note, I grew up in Richmond and spent many a day in Lynchburg with my parents looking at houses. It's a wonderful place to roam around in with a camera.

I enjoy this very much. It's unfourtunate that some of the rocks on the left are overexposed but, with an exposure that long, I don't know if there would be much you could do about it. Wonderful capture here.

I'm guess this is a railing on some stairs, definately a different viewpoint. I am drawn to this one because of that. Nice tones(even though the railing is a little blown out at the bottom). A very nice capture.

Looks like home to me. I am only a 45 minute marta ride(from N. Springs) from there. Underground is really something that most people in Atlanta don't appreicate. There is just so much to do and in turn so much to shoot Nice shot, I love the movement in the people.

Chris, I used a green filter. The foliage was quite dark and I was trying to get it to a more managable color than black.

The unsharpness is due to the scanner. In the darkroom, it is quite sharp.

The only complaint that I have is that the DoF is not as much as I would like. Just seems like the tree in the front right is more in focus than the rest of the shot. Using a hyperfocal chart to determine the exposure would include most of the shot in focus. Generally speaking, set the A prority @ f/11 and that should do it. Beautiful country though

Thanks Chris. The print is very dark and contrasty. I was very surprised that I got a sepia out of the neg. I am about 20 minutes from KEH. Saves a lot on shipping to just go and pick things up.

Wow, such an interesting view on the world. The contrast is great. Other than a little bit of scanner noise, just great.

Nice shot here. They are cute, until you get them in your attic! And an arm and a leg to get rid of them. I guess the moral of all this is something that is cute can come back and bite you in the end.

I really like this one. I'm not a big fan or the flare in the center but like the project says, personal style. Great shot!

Love the DOF. It just seems as if you are walking forever even though the brige ends. And on the editing end, look what you got from all your hard work, a beautiful shot.

These are the kinds of things that I go for, but living in a city makes it impossible. I'm jealous. Great shot!
