Pretty good for a first try. I like the lavender colors. You need a strobe to catch the water sharply. Don.

hey Ryan, are you using photoshop?, to make the image Black and White, just desaturate the image, then play with the contrast and levels to get the appropreate b+w balance.

Good title! Really made me look. What about a spring coil? A whisk?
I think the bw works, too.

Hanna

This is very nice Ryan, your exposure looks good. Your lighting is very nice. You have a great eye for pictures. Just watch how others do their composing etc will help a lot. I have made a couple of adjustments on the picture. Let me know what you think. I work with Photoshop. Don.

i think the dark background is very suitable and enhances the wedding band.. it looks very beautiful.. try cropping the pic from the right side a bit so that the object won't be in the center... just a minor detail.. but i love this shot.. so romantic

I love the colors and composition - great black background. My only concern is a lack of sharpness of the gerberas. Keep up the good work!

I am intrigued that this was taken with a flash. It needs a little more punch IMHO. A suggestion attached.

I love it! I don't see anything as overexposed . . . I love the shading from hot to cooling off. (I have a similar shot of a pink rose.)
