Great mood and use of focus, probably on post processing, but it doesn't matter, what counts, as Chanel used to say, is the effect. And this selective focus can be obtained easily with 4x5 or a PC correction lens.
I'd only cut a bit of the road from the bottom.
I'm not against manipulation and this image is proof that its use can add to the mood, atmosphere and, why not, "grandeur" of images.
Excellent! Congratulations!

Regards from Brazil,

Jose Azevedo

Hi Jay I couldnt believe you had no comments on this image, sometimes its like that on usefilm.
Anyway I like this image the movement of the man on the left is very good, the expsression of the other really says a lot.
It makes a good documentary shot and wouldnt look out of place on a spread sheet.

So nice and interesting composition! There is a sad feeling over it, because of the dark tones and how the woman is looking out over the sea.

I like this, the tones are wonderful, and that long marina stretching out into the frame really draws the eye in. If I was to make one observation (NOT a criticism) it would be that the people on the left closest to the camera seem a little out of focus. "Fuzzy" would be my first thought - or was that intentional. In any case, this is a very good shot, well done.
