Thanks for your comment Tobiah. These shots are supposed to be kind of artsy skate shots. The three that I chose for this series were actually shots that didn't turn out to be the greatest of skate shots but I still wanted to post them and get some feedback. The titles mean nothing. I think that titles are an entire art within themselves and to put it simply they are a sort of game that I like to play...

That's exactly what I was going for with this image. I was hiking the trails near these falls and couldn't help but think about the past and how life must have been. I tried to capture that feeling in an image and this is the result. Thanks for your comment.

Great choice to flip the image. It really adds a new dimension and a lot of creativity to a shot like this...

Great shot Seth. You've really captured the mood well. I also really like how much black there is contrasted by the strong highlights...

Very nice shot Chris. Great job at getting a very even and natural looking exposure by blending the bracketed ones together in photoshop. That's some tricky stuff but you have done it perfectly...

Crazy enough Samantha, I didn't use photoshop at all for this shot. I stacked three different filters on the lens of my camera and this is how the shot turned out. The filters were:
circular polarizer
80A blue cooling filter
#2 sepia filter

Thanks for all of your great comments on my recent work.

This shot is so good Samantha. The expression is perfect and the composition is great. The mix between highlights and shadows is perfect and the choice for B&W compliments this well.

Great picture Ewa. The contrast between the cat and the shoes works so well for this shot. I also really like the overall tones and the lighting.

Interestingly enough, I know you. Hi Summer. I randomly saw your profile when I was looking through recent images and I was really excited to see a familiar name. I hope that all is well with you and I'm glad to see that I have a new friend on usefilm. I love the pics that you've posted so far and I can't wait to see more...

To Peter: (and other great photography critics)

Thank you very much, that was a real helpful comment you left. Not only did you tell me you didn't like my pic without reason, you offered no suggestion of what would make my picture better. Adding to all of this, you don't have any pictures yourself to let me know what kind of pictures are aesthetically pleasing to your precious eyes. Thank you Peter for making me a better photographer. I really really really really appreciate your wonderful insight...

Wow Miles. Seriously, I'm in awe. You have gotten so much better in the last 6 months. You have seriously developed into an amazing photographer with a great eye for creative pictures. I'm going to really miss taking pics with you until you return. I want to see pics from CA photo journeys without me...
