Sick. Mirror pictures are tight and this one is especially good. The shot looks really good with all of the pictures and posters in it...

Amazing. Not just regular amazing. I mean the real amazing. The kind of amazing where you just sit there and look at it and go, "that's frickin amazing!"...

Gayle, congrats on photographer of the day. I think that you are actually beating me however. I got a photo of the day and a featured critique but never photographer of the day! That is pretty radical. Well deserved. Northwest rules...

The effect is really good, especially with the yellow shirt and the color in his tats. The drummers sticks are up which gives a good sense of movement. I think that the head of the bass on the right is a bit distracting. I re-cropped the image to try a little something, maybe you'll like it. I was also wondering why there is so much dust on the shot. I think that you need to clean the negative and the scanner really well and re-scan the image. Don't think that I'm doggin' on your shot Chris, its good. Its really a stylish shot, it just needs a little bit of work...

I totally agree on the faster speed film part. I shot with what was in my camera already just to see how it turned out. Most of the shots were taken a lot closer but I thought that the darkness might add a little bit to this shot...

Thanks for the comment on my most recent self-portrait. I played with your picture to see what I could come up with. I don't think that the shadow on the left is the problem, I think that it is the bright highlights on the right. I also think that the contrast is too high so the difference between the highs and lows makes it too hard to do anything with. Check out my version even though its not as good as the original in my opinion...

Such a good shot. It has a lot of emotion to it. I like the almost menacing feel to it and the color to the eyes is great...

i've actually had the EOS for a while. Its not digi but I reallly want a digital rebel because I've got quite a few lenses for the Canon EF Mount. I do have a little bit of advice for you on the digital rebel part of things. Make sure that you get a large memory card or you won't have a lot of storage for pics on your camera. Get like a 128mb, 256mb, or even a 1gb...

This would be my favorite shot out of your portfolio. Don't ask me why because I don't know. Something about the real feeling that it has to it...
