Great photo Shawn, I have done the same - I guess they see a reflection of themselves in the lens and then they go absolutely ballistic !!
The one I was "playing" with was almost 5 inches long and crawled up my arm, on my head and jumping back and forwards.
Apparantly my expression was priceless also because I "used" to have a fobia with mantises !!

You lucky girl!! You got to see those beautiful ships "in action". It's always been my husband's dream to sail the world in one of these old masters.
Great capture Shawn ... I love the lighting on the ships - makes them shimmer. Beautiful water too. Maybe a little crop on the left to take out the parked cars?

Hi Shawn, Very well composed image. Andy's figure in the lower right corner breaks the tranquility very well, but his action divert the attention back to the sky and seascape, which creates a very nice tension in this photo.

Hi Shawn,
Remember you were kinda envious of my cuddle-a-cub opportunity? :-) Now I can tell you that I am sooooooooo envious that you are just a drive away from the ocean! You lucky girl! :-)
Love this image of Andy doing what he loves so much. His red jacket makes a nice focal point. Waves are beautiful and I like the soft pastel reflection on the wet beach. On the down side though the horizon is tilted. Otherwise a very very nice image.
