Debbie,

Not sure what you mean by a digital thingy? :-]

My Olympus digital camera is about $1,400 with lenses and the Canon is about $3,000 without lenses. Expensive thingys.

True color is an oxymoron. I've just started reading about color managment - matching the colors your camera captures to your monitor to the printer - all different. But who cares, as long as it produces a pleasing image.

Color matching/management really matters when you are trying to print something professionally and you want on paper something that comes close to the image you see on your monitor. That is a complex and complicated challenge.

Anyway, thanks for the positive comments on my photos.

I've noticed alot of digital camera pics come out with really nice colors (true colors). I'm not at all familiar with them, as I just purchased a canon elan 7. I see you can shoot different shutters and aps. I noticed your pic taken with the canon digital..it was true to color as well. I've heard the digital (whaddya call it?) thingy that captures the picture is pretty expensive. I really like the pics taken with the Olympus and Canon tho.

When I looked through the thumbnails, this one really jumped out at me. I think it
has to do with the strong yellow-blue contrast and the strong lines. Good shot.

Really nice light here bill and a very nice graphic....I'm just gonna suggest you make this more symmetrical as to increase the graphic quality to this image....the right upper rail (top of the "T") is not on the same plane as the left upper which adds tension.....suggest you crop left a bit so the staircase is dead center, exactly dead centered....this should add more balls to the up flow and crossing rails and the line frak at the top....nice image Bill weel seen and handled well....

lighting is really cool here Bill as is the subject....the large black wall on the left is pulling this image however...crop the left black to equal the black leading edge on the right...I think this will strengthen this image and build up more power to the shadow lines...nicely seen and captured....

This is just beautiful. If a I were to have to say anything at all, like what might make it better, the only thing I might change is to crop from the sidewalk, leaving just the bench. A straight line from one fence post to the next and on down the line. I understand that may not be do-able because of the angle, but that's just a suggestion. For me to take a picutre with such beauty...there's no telling what I would have come up with. So... I just have to say once again...Beautiful.

This is very cool...unique image perspective...I like how the rail is close..feels like I am standing there...nice muted tones...the blue caps add a very nice touch..only minor whine is the bench being cut off....but a super job none the less.

I'm really surprised at the lack of comments on such a great image, I really love abstracts and this works well, I'm kicking it back up to the comments page so you can get more feedback.

Nice mood William. Frustrating telephone lines do get in the way of many nice subjects. Maybe you could go back and cut the poles down?...tempting isn't it.....Good shot nonetheless.

I was so taken with the detail of the rust on this hook that I wanted to get as close as I could and capture the image handheld and put it in some context.

Good suggestions.

Besides a photoclass I took last year and got one on one feedback from the instructor, these comments have been most educational.

Thanks again everyone

You have an excellent eye. I will work on those points.

Your remarks are "obvious" after you make them, but not that obvious to me when I worked with these images.

Thanks again for taking the time to comment.

Artie,

You are right on. I was so taken with tracks disappearing into the fog and the trees that I didn't "see" the pole and wires.

When I tried to take out the pole and wires using PhotoShop something was missing. Goodfeedback

Texture of the wall is excellent. Concept is nice and composition is ok. Clone out the spot of light on the right of the ball, its distracting and not needed. A little more space on the right would add to this image also. If this is in your house you can easily redo it.

Nice feel to this William. you need the top of the eye in this and definitely the bottom of the hook. Or at least the bottom of the hook with a little space under it.
