Excellent shot, and high contrast gives it an "aged" feel that works great in this picture.

It almost looks like the focus is a bit too far back - the nose seems a bit fuzzy... but this may be the scan/monitor.

Great otherwise!

I love this - the colors are as blurred as the DoF if that makes sense.

Pity about the lense distortion from the candles...

This is the kind of picture that has you forever making up different stories or scenarios about what is happening - everyone will have a different point of view.

To me it looks more like before the party - the sombre mood comes through in her calmness....

Good background, uncomplicated format. On my moniter it could use a little more sharpness.

You didn't get any comments on it, but I really like this portrait, it is a very strong image, among many impressive images. I have to say I am most envious of your use of color in all your work.

Well seen. Nice sepia color. Doesn't look much like Mel gibson, though (hehehe). But I guess you've got the real thing.

Very nice composition and beautiful color contrast between the red in the bug and the green of the leaves. Excellent use of depth of field to bring in just the bug and the leave he is sitting on in focus. That's the part I love in this image Matt, but the burn out spots on bottom of the photo are a little distracting and should be cropped of in my opinion to get more attention on the wonderful bug and the leave he's sitting on....Best regards Harry

Wonderful expression. Good composition Matt. Pity the image is a bit overexposed and harsh lighted because a lot of the beautiful details are lost now and are gone in to burn out spots.
