Great shot! I love the perspective! Very crisp and clear--and creative! Good Job, Charisse

hey T, nice shot this one... I love the cropping and the depth of field, maybe could be even better if you crop a little from the right space... but is just me! regards, Ricardo

Yes, that's a significant improvement. The contrast could have been shifted even a little further towards the "bright" end of the scale (brighter, whiter water) but you certainly got the idea. This is a wonderful photograph, and it promises great things from you in the future. Do keep posting! This and that fine traditional portrait of the young couple look like really mature works, not those of a beginner.

very interesting photo...it reminds me of "Close encounters of the third kind" the kid approaching the fountain that looks like an UFO...great composition.

BTW, I read your line about being new and all that..I can tell you, you have talent, so keep posting!

T - Great framing, and interesting subject. I agree with Kim that a lower angle would work well also for this shot, also, Dave's suggestion about boosting the contrast would be nice too. If you're not sure how to do that, fire a question in the digital darkroom pr digital photography Q/A forum, lots of us Photoshop/digital people lurk there. Great shot just the same, keep up the good work, and keep posting! :-)

The framing is good and I like the toning, what I think could be better is the crop. I think the shot works better with her right arm showing so don't crop this so tight. Shooting it from a lower angle is what makes this work for me.

Well Done.

Good framing, with an eyecatching foreground element. What this shot needs is color and contrast adjustment. Your colors are faded, a problem easily improved with some minor photoshop adjustments. What software do you have? If you don't have anything, consider getting photoshop elements at least. Go to levels and adjust the contrast etc. Repost, you will amaze yourself.

T., I think this is very nicely done. Love the grain and color as well as the child. You have a good eye. Keep shooting. Regards.

I think you have nice framing here, as you've got the whole fountain in the shot, plus a great moment with the small child being dwarfed by this huge amount of water.
One thing to think about when taking photos is to try out different angles. I think a neat shot would have also been from behind the child, but looking up at this HUGE fountain.... child's eye view. Post some more, and don't be afraid to comment on others work the way you would like to receive comments.

I'd love to give you advise, but I'm new to photography as well. I do like the way the child shows the enormity of the fountain. Lucky for you your digital and wont have to contemplate getting a second job just to pay for all the film processing that non digital beginners go thru.
