Wonderful image with an awesome atmosphere. Very good composition. It is just too small.

Thank you very much for your helpful and constructive criticism. This remark in itself will help me improve my work dramatically. I will refer the people who usually buy my photography to you and your keen eye for much better work.

No, I can't smile. It is ugly and without any jocularity. Pity.

Great timing in freezing the horse's mouth & the clouds making it appear like steam coming out. Nice one Aernout & thanks much for the comment to my image, best wishes.

Hey there, sorry, but I don't like what you did to Vincent's mouth. It just looks all wrong. As for the b&w instead of colour, I think it takes some of the intenseness of the image away. Besides, I am so proud of getting this kind of images without any digital fuss, that getting rid of the colour would feel like getting rid of some of my "achievement". I've got this one right here, where the colours are truly insane, but again, this is exactly what the image looks like on film

I'll try and find the negative and blow it up. I will also try and pay more attention to the size of the images I upload in the future. Thanks for the very kind comment.

I see what you mean about the focus issue. But it's not a bad thing, considering the colour and mood of the image (which rocks btw).

Might have something to do with the scanning or compression when saving, but again, I don't think it matters here...

Not sure about adding any motion blur -(cough)- could be a bit of a mistake... )

Cheers

Well, this is a splendid photo. The fact you made it on a fine film and good camera deserves a seven
wished it was a little larger.

The one I have here (on paper) doesn't confirm the idea I get when I look at this digital version here, which looks out of focus. Mmm, probably just poor quality scanning?

I haven't been doing much for a couple of years, and I don't have a digital and have to go to a friend to scan the pictures. Moreover, I'm extremely critical of my work, so hardly anything I shoot ends up meeting my criteria. Of these pictures too, there are some I don't like. I will add one more, which I like, but I'm not sure whether I like it because this is the singer of one of my favourite bands or because I like it as a picture. Hard to judge when you're the photographer, sometimes.

... well, thank you !!!! You are too kind. (Really, you are!)
I usually hear that the bird is too small, but you are one of the first to see that the lovely grey-tones are really what this picture is about. The bird is there to add some life and perspective.

That's why it's a STUDY of a bridge, otherwise I would have called the series Bridge. I'm mainly interested in lines.

Not really detailed is it? Also no longer resembles a bridge. Grey and un interesting to me but just my opinion as love color. To me this style of photos are depressing and bland. Thank goodness we all have different tastes hey? :-)

This looks like an Old World painting. I adore it.The grain, contrast and pose set a calm, sensual atmosphere.
It's a thing of beauty!!!!
