Ya don't post often and for some reason when ya do post I happen onto the main page (which I do not do often)...as always, quality will out. Nice to see another "Pollard." I don't know if you remember me but a few weeks back I posted some shots from the Peoria, Illinois air show. If ya like planes and such take a look on me. No charge.

Nothing too exciting. A man standing on a deck. He looks detached. I am thinking what was the motive or purpose of taking this photo. From the title, the model outfit and props I can guess it has something to do with the old wild West, but where is the tension?

In good light the Tamrons (SP type) perform very good, I tried my Mom's Tamron 200-500mm before I decided on the Canon 100-400mm. They Tamron was harder to shoot handheld (Canon 100-400 has IS) and would hunt from time to time in certain conditions. The sharpest Tamron I have is the SP 180mm Marco which works well as portrait and long range as well.

Hi Andy, Its a very neat & crisp photo of an iron bird with a great view of mirage !!
I understand you took the photo using canon's 100-400 mm lens, & I saw ur profile - you got big variety of lenses.

Can any tamron lens take such crisp photos ?
