i disagree that this is "not a photo". you saw something you liked and you captured it (there are famous photographers that go to galleries and photograph what is on the walls and reproduce it slap it on another gallery wall!). If you want to keep it, then it does its job. but if you really like what you see and want the photo to reflect your feelings or the culture or the time period, then find a way to take an environmental portrait of this part of the paper... maybe with a reflection or on a table or in someones hand. or give it some natural border - a spoon and a cell phone or a condom on the sides... some element that places it. the hearts are great, and a womans hand on the side with fingernails the same red color might work. overlay another photo over it that contrasts it.. what is it you like about it? there is always a way to make it work as a photo. it would be a nice polaroid transfer too, or printed on a block of wood and used as a table, or silk screened on a t shirt with some snappy catch phrase.. i photograph everything i like, even if its not the best photo on its own - you can always find an artistic use (and a side note, i have never seen an aussi paper, so this is my first time...).
