Really like this one. Colors are great, but could use a little more DOF to get the wings more in focus. I have a similar butterfly in my photo section. Keep up the great macro work.

Good macro of this tiny guy. Good use of DOF. Ant is a little distracting. Cheers!

Of the three Blue shots, I like this one the best. Colors are spot on. These guys can look pretty goofy from the wrong angles. You did a great job of making him look magestic and predatory. Congrats!

Love that place. I had my batchelor party there. Hard to get a better view at a brew pub. Cheers,

Not bad. Needs a little higher shutter speed to freeze the sea gull. By the way, where specifically was this taken? I am pretty familar with the area and it looks lie I have been in that same spot. Could be deja vu. Cheers!

Great image with lots of color and light action going on. All in all a good photo. Great capture!

I agree with dave. The depth of field was off. I should have shot at f11, but the light would not allow for me to keep my shutter speed at 1/500 and stop down anymore. It was just a fun photo. More serious photo's to follow.

Lovely photo as always. I maight have cropped a little more from the bottom, but then it wouldn't be a square image. Cheers!

Great macro work. You manipulate DOF like it was a paint brush. I believe we are dealing with a moth on several of these. The micro lanscapes seem so alien and unusual, especially the antennae. Kudo's on such a great series. Cheers

Liked the shot because of the matched pair (male and female). The mood is very cold which relfects the time of year. They are so short in the frozen North. Check out some of mine from a warmer clime. Cheers!

Good pelican shot. The waters are so still. Would have liked to see a little more sun or ambient light though. Very sharp and good DOF. Cheers!

This guy looks a little frazzled. But I can tell this becuase of the excellent sharpness of the photo and the low grain of the film used. The exposure is quite good also. You can definately tell the where the white on the pelican stops and the background picks up. I noticed that you used Portra nc. I might have used the vc instead to up the saturation. I have a few of these in my portfolio. Feel free to check them out. Cheers!

Very nice capture. Makes me feel chilly! By not using a warming filter or waiting for warmer light, you convey a sense of being chilled.

Cheers!

Stunning capture. The pond weed offers a great backdrop for such a majestic bird. Very sharpness and DOF as always. You are quickly becoming one of my favorites.

I agree. Beauty is some time no further than your front door. I have a pic of one of these in my portfolio. Great pic. Nice sharp focus on the wings.
