Indeed very interesting photo. The kids liked to be photographed. This photo can be improved further by:
1. Crop the photo (like attached) I think you do not need much space and our foucs is the kids
2. adjust the contrast and adjust the white color in the canvas.

Hi Vera,
Yes, this is already a bit better. I think however that the track underneath are a bit distracting from the little guys smile. That's why I cropped it even tighter. Also consider making the hallway a bit darker to make him stand out more.
